i always giggled when i played with LAZERS on buzz light year... or when i watched star gate and saw LAZER beams shoot outta peoples eye sockets. well today was no laughing matter. dr. green showed me that his LASER causes giant welts and burns on my face! a LASER removed cancerous sun spots and rosacea from my chubby cheeks. wowzers. i look like i have chicken pox all over again. booya.

MOUNT RIGHTEOUS.
we hung with ryan and albert today. those boys were kind enough to make a pit stop in silverlake to deliver some goods on their way to the pharmacy. good dudes! kinda wrecked my dome, but its alright... all the more love. it entertained rob while he was packing for hawaii. im going to miss his little ass... which i LOOVEEE to pieces.
okay so lets backtrack. the MARCHING BAND that i saw while walking the dogs last night ended up being AMAZINGLY LEGIT. we went to el cid tonight to watch them and seriously if you havent already listened to them you really should. they play music that makes you want to vomit butterflies. i thought for a second they were a christian band... but nope... just a bunch of fun loving kids driving around the US. all the more reason to listen to them.
after the el cid nick was hungry so we stopped by the burrito king. this transient man walked up to us begging for change. he happened to be african american and we happened to have no cash, honestly. well he proceeded to tell us, "oh im just a poor nigger you cant help." it was totally uncalled for and rude on his part. i guess thats how he suckers people into spilling their funds. GUILT. well i didnt feel guilty since i dont really keep that word in my vocab. i told him he needed to chill out. frank pulled his knife after the guy said he wanted to kill "all the girls you little faggots have with you". i think the deal was sealed when frank said, "the next time i see you in the ER im going to let you die".
what a pleasant way to end the night.

the mist.
my night ended with stephen king's "the mist" (or at least the filmed rendition of it). my favorite part was the fact that the monster had like 7 different phases it morphed into. each with their own terrifying characteristic like acid web, flesh eating claw tentacles or dragon winged rabid parrot looking things. YIKES! can someone please fill me in on why that movie is so damn scary? i mean geez. it makes you wonder what you would do in such a disastrous situation? i loveHATE those kinds of movies. cloverfield, 28 days later, sunshine, resident evil, dream catcher [worst movie ever, sorry jason lee]... etc. hah, two of those are films with cillian murphy in them, hes a babe.
ANYWAYYYY... if i were ever in that situation i would most definitely starve to death or end up killing myself. OKAY onto the next topic!
after i went to trader joe's today i bumped into our neighbor gina. she seems rad. i guess we are somewhat closer than neighbors since we share a duplex, which makes me want to get to know her and her boyfriend shawn a little bit better. they have two pugs and two really awesome topsy turvy tomato plants. (like this)
she also composts her waste, which i look up to. to the point, those are the reasons i think shes rad. oh, shawn smokes too. i think everyone in silverlake smokes... hah.
gina and i ended up walking the doggies together (after i made some fantastic breakfast burritos for rob and i). booger, stewie, giseppe and cooper, what a scary pack. we walked by a house on westerly terrace (on our way to this awesome view of the ghetto part of sunset and all of k-town) where there was a MARCHING BAND playing in the front room! i shit you not. anyway, on our way back the band had finished and were hanging out in front of this house. they insisted on taking a band photo with the pups. they put stew on top of someones head. it was pretty funny. gina laughed a ton. she also told me about this anarchist chear leading squad she was on. they protested fucked up shit and were major feminists. wow! she is an animator and started working with disney on little mermaid three. new person, new stories... im ready!

take a little trip.
i went to redlands on monday to get my hair done by the fabulous angi. it was fun and too short of a stay. thankfully i had a chance to hang out with her spawn... which happens to be the cutest spawn ever created (im pretty sure).
heres some [really crappy quality] proof. i wish stellas face werent blurry. why is she growing up so quickly?
after we dropped stella off we went to the bar. i forgot how desperate redlands bar dudes are. note to self, memory refreshed indefinitely. seems like we both just had a lot on our shoulders. the drinks helped. logan and burak picked us up when the scene became too ravenous for our taste. we went swimming at buraks. the pool felt like a bathtub! had some quality talks with logan and ang. i decided that men are PIGS. seriously. very few pass the test in my books. ugh, i wish it wasnt assumed that women arent clever enough to catch onto things. c'mon people!!
i took the train home at 8am more hungover than ive been in a long while. it was fun. spending $10 on a ticket > los angeles traffic at 8am.
once i got home rob informed me that we were going to katsuya for dinner with maria and travis. man, i dont think a nap was any more necessary in my life. anyway, sushi was good followed by amoeba (bought nada surf, hell yes).
in a few minutes we are going to a dodger game. im excited. i havent been to a baseball game since i was with nolan... oddly enough he is coming with us. BIZZARREEEE!
