road trip.

yesterday vallery and i took a little trip. since shes never seen the island up close and personal i decided doing a little christmas shopping was the appropriate time. first, we drove to waimea to purchase a christmas present for grandmommy. id spotted it back before halloween and hoped it was still there. anyway here it is:

they shipped it directly from the store for me! =) i hope she loves it, i sure would if i got that in the mail from someone.

after that we went to the craft store and bought stuff to tye dye shirts... haha. we proceeded on our road trip and drove to honokaa and visited my friend grace at her antique shop. i love the stories she tells and i managed to find her one eyed cat and give it a little rub down. vallery found a few things to gift people and i found a retro spice set that is AMAZING. we managed to make it to waipio valley before sunset and it was so gorgeous. the fog was rolling in which made it look so mysterious and murky.



i managed to bring a doll with us, so i took a few photos of her down the hiking trail. im pretty sure i was bitten by 18 mosquitos while doing this, but it was worth it. oh, also, one of the tourists who saw me said, "ohhh, shes artsy" hahaha.



after waipio we headed home. we were welcomed back with the most beautiful sherbet colored sunset. ahhh, how lovely.
